Lost connection to Exchange Address Book

B

Brad

I have always used "New Resource From", Address Book to
populate a "user import" project and publish it. It
resulted in a somewhat clean user in PS. I would modify
security, etc and had myself a new Enterprise Resource.
Last year we upgraded to XP desktop and Windows2K on the
servers. Other than that, the application was not
touched and everything seems to work except this
feature. All three options are grayed out.

I've dug through everything I can find but have yet to
understand how this connection is performed. Also, we
switched to Native Mode on the network when we finally
got the last of the NT servers offline. It would be nice
to know how to set up AD also. I am not interested in
syncing at this time after looking thru all the notes but
I would like to know how to re-establish the Address Book
connector.

Much Thanks,
Brad

Brad:

Your connection to the GAL is through your local mail client. Assuming this
is Outlook, you should be able to go to the local workstation and select
Mail from Control Panel. Click Show Profiles and you should see a profile
for Outlook. If this isn't there, then your Outlook was "installed funny."
So, you either need to add a profile or figure out why one isn't there to
begin with. Project can connect to any MAPI compliant mail client to access
any address book configured within the mail client.
