Lost Contact and Sent Items data when upgrading from Office98 to 2

I did the upgrade from Office 98 to Office 2003 and when completed, I can not
find my Contacts or Sent Items any more. Where are these data files? Were
they destroyed when I did the upgrade? Any help would be appreciated.
