Lost contacts after installing Office Service Pack

I recently submitted a question after being unable to
access any of my mail or contact folders. After following
some instructions that came along with the latest Office
Service pack, I created a new email profile, so now email
works fine, but I am still unable to access my contacts,
locate their file on the hard disk, or synchronize my palm
pilot and laptop as before.

Any suggestions on how to get back my contacts file would
be much appreicated.
