I recently converted a Access97 database to Access2000. Now when I open the
converted DB only my created swtichboard menu appears, No Database window or
Database tool bar. Either appear above or behind the swtichboard. I wish to
make some additional changes but have no way of doing it. I can't get into
design view. How do I get back either the database window or tool bar.

Have you tried holding down the shift key as you are opening the application?

It sounds like someone set the startup properties to hide the database
window and the main menus, and added a start form. If you hold down the
shift key as Access loads, it will bypass the startup code and should give
you access to the database window.

If that works, select Tools->Startup and check the databasewindow and full
menus checkboxes

Hi,
On another computer, I can see the database window and under startup all the
check boxes are enabled. When I copied to another computer, no database
window. Holding down the shift key when loading isn't working for Access2000
but it does work in Access97. Any other suggestions I might try.
