Lost document

My computer is set up for automatic save. I save to
floppy. I left my document up while I went to lunch and
decided to work on something else when I came back.
When I went to exit the program it asked me if I wanted to
save so I said yes, there was an error message about the
disk and so I cancelled and hit save instead. It looked
like it worked as I was allowed to exit.
When I went back to work on the document, it was the saved
document from several saves and a lot of work ago.
I can't find a temp file and was wondering if anyone knew
how to find my lost work?

try doing a search of *.doc. This will search your
computer for all files that end with .doc. this is of
course if it was a Word Doc. If another document try:
*.xls for excell or *.ppt for Power Point

Can't say for sure if this is your problem, but;
Don't save directly to a floppy!
Save to your HD and copy it to the floppy.
The same goes for opening a file (copy to HD and open from there).
