Lost E-Mails

T

I have OL2002 and WinXP Pro. I have lost all of my e-mails
from my "Inbox" and "Sent" folders, but all e-mails remain
intact in any personal folders I created. Any suggestions
on how to retrieve them? And once retrieved, what do I do
then, as I am no computer whiz by any means :)

I would really like to know if this is a common occurence--
I have heard that it IS with Outlook as opposed to other
e-mail programs (??).

When this happened, I recall that my computer date had
been automatically changed to a date in the year of 2051,
and I noticed the incorrect year when my OL Reminders
starting popping up incorrectly. Perhaps a virus of some
sort caused the date change? If I turn off my "auto
archive" feature, would this help prevent this from
happening again if my date gets bumped up again?

You most likely had an archive date set to archive items older than xx.
Once your system clock was changed to a date far in the future, your items
were most likely archived.

Search for all .pst files and open them each (search using hidden/system
folders) - (open using File->open->outlook data files.)

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, tawnya asked:
