lost emails

HI, I'm running Outlook Express 6, and I used to use my ISP's(Comcast) email
interface online, and check my messages there and then I configured out look
and all my messages are gone! did outlook delete them? Where'd they go?
(because they are no longer on Comcast's sever and not in my outlook
folders)
