lost Excel data!

I've just deleted some important data from an Excel sheet
having moved it to another workbook. Unfortunately I
closed the new workbook without saving and I can't find
the data! I've not got a backup of the old workbook and
the data is not on the clipboard. Is there any way of
recovering it?

Did you save the original workbook or just close it after deleting the data?

If so, the data will be on the original.

If not, you would seem to be out of luck unless you had the original setttings
as "always create backup".

Look for *.XLK files on your computer. Might be lucky.

Are you on a Network? Maybe your IT dept backs up the server each day.
