Lost Macro Option

I no longer have the Macro option under Tools/Macro. It starts right away with Record a Macro. I had about 5 macros built but can no longer access them. Does anyone know what happened and how to fix this? Thanks

Are you sure the "intelligent menu" is not hiding the menu item? If you
leave the menu open for a few seconds the hidden items should become
visible.

The other possibility is that the item got dragged off the menu while in
Customize mode. If so, using View | Toolbars | Customize, find the Macros
menu item on the Commands tab under Tools and drag it back up to the menu.

Rod, is it possible that your macros somehow got wiped out? Or characterized
as Private, in which case they would not show up in the dialog?

Also, were the macros in a specific workbook or in your Personal Macro
Workbook?

Thanks for your input, Vasant; however, that is not what happened. On the
Tools Menu there is an option for Macro. When I go to the Macro area the
option for Macros (hot key is ALt+F8) is no longer there. The only options
are Security, Visual Basic Editor, and Microsoft Script Editor. When, in
fact, I do an Alt+F8 the Macros menu show no macros. I had at least 5 of
them.
