Lost password and cannot restore profile

Hello,

I am using Microsoft Office Groove 2007. I had setup my profile and password
a while ago. I had checked the "Remember my password on this computer" option
when I set it up. I backed up the profile to a .grv file.

The hard drive died on the machine and I had to re-load my computer's OS and
apps. I'm trying to restore my Groove profile from the .grv file and it's
asking me for a password. Of course, I don't remember the password and cannot
come up with a guess that is correct.

We do not have a Groove server in our domain, so we're using the public
servers.

The documentation I have been able to find online says that there should be
a "Forgot your password?" link on the login window, but it does not appear.
The only info on the login screen is:

My Name Here
Password:
__________________ (textbox for password)
|_| Remember my password on this computer (checkbox)
|Login| |Cancel| (buttons)

That's it. I cannot get to the preferences window or anywhere else in Groove
until I know this password. Where can I (or is it even possible to) reset
this password?

Hi,

Unfortuantely, it sounds like you will need to start over with another
account. Because you are not managed, the Reset Password will not appear on
your account backup file.

Unfortunately, loosing a password makes it impossible to recover.
There's a facility in G2k7 for password 'hint' - it helps to use it!
