Lost Password on startup MDE file

I have a FE/BE design and the FE has been changed to mde file and it prompts
me for a password in which i never set it up. I try hitting the shift key
when opening the file but the response is invalid password. Is there a way
around this ....it is not user level password...it is the simple prompt at
startup.
