lost product key, can i download microsoft office still?

Nearly a year ago I paid for microsoft office 2003, and received a product
key. Recently, my hard drive broke, so I replaced it, but lost my
information. I now cannot find the product key, but don't want to pay
another hundred or so dollars. Is there any way I can get microsoft office
without buying it again?

It was never possible to legally download a full version of
Microsoft Office from a website. A free trial version is
available from the Microsoft website, but it expires after after
a few months, and the legitimate purchase price is more than
$100. From your description, it sounds like you purchased an
illegal copy of Office 2003 from one of the many pirate websites
that come and go on the internet.

Where did you purchase your copy of Office from? And which version did you
buy?

I bought it off the internet. I don't remember what website, but I assumed
because we paid for it, it was legitimate. I suppose if it wasn't there is
no hope. Thanks for the concern though.

Just because you've paid some dollar amount doesn't mean anything. There are
*a lot* of places that sell Office keys illegally. But there are some that
sell it legally as well.

Do you still have a receipt or something to indicate you purchased it? There
may still be a teeny glimmer of hope.
