Lost Product Key Code for Word

As my subject line says, I have managed to loose my prodcut
key code for word2002. I had to reinstall windows on my
computer and when I went to instal word again I found that
I do not have the key code they require.

Does anyone know how I would be able to get that
information from Microsoft. It really bothers me that I
paid for Word and now I cannot use it because I threw away
a CD case I didn't think was important, only to learn that
MIcrosoft has changed their policies and you NEED to SAVE
all those little peices of paper.

I would appreciate any help anyone could give me.

Policies have not changed. It has always been the case that you need a key
to install Word. If your copy of Word was a retail version, contact
Microsoft at (800) 360-7561, or, if outside the U.S., see this site:
http://microsoft.com/worldwide

If the software came preinstalled on your PC (OEM version), then you'll need
to contact the manufacturer for a replacement key.
