Lost sliding animation effect switching views

I've noticed that the horizontal slide animation when
going from one view to another in Outlook XP has gone. For
instance, selecting the Inbox under Messages on the
Outlook Today view used to slide the address bar from
right-to-left and the inbox pane then appeared and
expanded. If you have the office sounds, then together
this used to be a nice feature and I would like it back.
Does anyone know how to switch this back on?

I found it by chance ! Double click over the Outlook
address bar toward the left side and hey, all the
animation comes back. Magic.
