Lost sound after installing dsl (2wire wireless router) - HELP!

installed a dsl 2wire wireless router & now my system sounds & windows media
player don't work (video plays without sound, no sound on music cds, no
system beeps...)

can I just reinstall a driver? If so, which one? I have Microsoft Office
2000 Professional operating system & office package.
