Lost Status Reports

Darrell

A Manager was receiving weekly Status Reports from their resources and then
suddenly the reports stopped showing up on the Status Report page. The email
notifications kept coming each week as resources submitted their reports;
however, the PM cannot see the reports. They all appear with a "?" and the
popup says no report exists even thought the rsource's status pages show the
reports were indeed submitted. Tests show a new report request works and the
PM can see the test reports yet the PM cannot see the original reports
submitted on any machine. Anyone know what happened and how to prevent it
from happening again?

Hi Darrell,
I've had real issues with Status Reports before, and have resorted to
clearing out the database and starting again. I don't know what caused the
issue or how to sensibly resolve it. I blogged the database clear out a
while back, it's available on http://appleparkltd.spaces.live.com/ if you
want to check it out.

Ben,

Thx for the response. I will continue to play with this as time permits in
hopes of finding a repetable process that causes the "Lost" status reports.
From what little testing I have done this definately seems like something in
the program and not a user or client machine issue.

Thx again,
Darrell

Hi Darrell, I would agree, when I looked at the data it was all okay, so
there was a bug in the program but I couldn't get it to replicate. We went
back to using email and word for our reports...
