low on memory warning (publisher 2000)

while working in publisher I often get a "low on memory"
warning & am forced to exit the software.

How much RAM do you have?
How big is your swapfile?
Are you running Norton AntiVirus?

I just posted a message about that also. I've been told
to adjust my paging file to increase accessible memory,
but I don't understand what page size to enter in the
custom setting. hoping that someone else can help me with
that. Mine occurs when I try to edit text in Word while
Publisher is running. I've temp solved the problem by
copying the text manually into a Word document, and then
pasting it back. It's a pain, though, because I lose the
auto formatting of the Publisher text box.
