Lower Boundary of Vertical Scrollbar

I've got a little annoyance that I'm hoping someone can help me with.
My excel table contains 2500 lines of data. If I hit Ctr-End, i
correctly takes to me the 2500th line. However, if I scroll to th
bottom of the spreadsheet using the vertical scroll bar, it takes me t
the 4600th line (past about 1500 blank lines below my data).

I've tried selecting rows 2500 through 4600, deleting them, and the
saving the file -- this approach usually fixes the problem for me -
but that isn't fixing my problem.

Any ideas
