I've run up against kb limits in posting my photos on the net.. all were
taken @ "jpg fine" setting on Nikon D-70. Are there software adjustments
available, preferably within MS Office Picture Manager (havent seen any)?
need to reduce 70k to 15k.

In Picture Manager use Export. When using Export to reduce resolution first
change the file name so you do not mess with the original. Then, use the
drop down list in export size selection to select Web large or Web small.

Next time you use your digital camera

instead of tweaking the 'fine' setting.... have a look in the menu of your
camera for something that changes the 'pixels'

images for the net that will be viewed on the screen, should be around 1000
pixels wide (1 megapixel)
