Version: 2008 Hi,

I have a spreadsheet created with Windows Excel 2003. When it is opened with Mac 2008, some of the links in the spreadsheet become broken. Not all of the links, only a few. The spreadsheet has multiple pages, and the page name is stripped out of the links by Mac 2008. This makes this not clickable. Any Ideas? Does the service pack 1 fix this problem?

Thanks.

"Service pack 1"??? That would be the 12.1.x level. If you're still running
vintage Office 2008 (12.0.x) it's a wonder any of it is working properly :)
Office 2008 is now at 12.2.3 [beyond SP2], so if you haven't kept current
with the updates that's the first place to start... Select Check for Updates
in the Help menu of any Office app. [You might also consider setting
AutoUpdate to check automatically on a weekly or monthly basis.] It might
also be a good idea to confirm your update level of what ever version of OS
X you're running it on & use Apple's Disk Utility to run Repair Disk
Permissions on your HD.

Once everything is updated reply here if you still have the problem. Make
sure to specify all version levels as well as complete details about the
faulty links. Is there anything consistent about the ones that break? Is
there any pattern or is it random? The more descriptive your post the more
likely someone will be able to help you out.
