Mac generated Excel files loose colour whenprinted from Excel 2003 on a PC

Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

Here is the scenario, If i generate an Excel Spreadsheet using Office 2004 on any mac, Intel or PPC, Tiger or Leopard OS, colour some figures, when opened on a PC with Excel 2003, although the colours appear on screen, when the spreadsheet is printed, it will only print out grayscale

If however, I generate an Excel Spreadsheet from Office X, then open the file in Excel 2003 on the PC, all the colours print out fine

I can't find a workaround, any ideas,

regards in advance
Paul

I haven't a clue (since both versions *should* produce identical files),
but two questions come to mind:

1) What do you mean by "some figures"?
2) Are you using a customized color palette?

Thanks for the reply

By "some figures" I mean "any" figure that has been coloured. When printed out, all colours print out in greys

No customised colour palette is being used, just the standard palette
