mac powerpoint and replaying sounds/animations on slides that have already been viewed

With help from your posts a while ago I managed to make my
presentation
replay sounds that had already been viewed but inserting a blank
slide
inbetween each animated slide. I set the slide transition to advance
slide
automatically after 00.00 seconds so that it was not visable but it
meant the
animated slide would replay.

I am now transfering the presentation into mac and I have come across
a
problem. the blank slides work most of the time but occassionally when
i go
back to a slide that has already been viewed, instead of replaying it
stays
on the blank slide and doesn't move to the next.
I have checked the slide transition on the slides that seem to be
causing
problems and they are set to the correct thing. The other that is
puzzelling me is that sometimes a slide will advance off fine and
other times the same slide will stay, this suggests is is just
randomly sticking on slides that are set to advance off immediately
without any apparent reason.

Can anyone shed any light onto why it might be happening and what I
could do to fix this? thanks

This is a known issue with inserted media. If you set "Stop playing
after" x slides, using previous will count towards that total. So if
you play across 5 slides but then back up oin slide 3, backing up is
#4. Boost that value to workaround it.
