Mac reinstalled Tiger OS. Entourage 2004 reinstall problem

For some reason, I can only access my internal and external backup HD's
in ³Safe mode² on my Mac G5, using Tiger OS (10.4.11). So, using my
Tiger Install disk, and my external HD, I Erased it with zeros,
reinstalled Tiger, and then reinstalled Office 2004 successfully. I
open Entourage to begin setting it up.

- I click on Tools/Accounts/New which opens Account Setup Assistant.
- I make my E-mail address to: my hotmail account (e-mail address removed)
and ˆ on R arrow.
- Message appears: The setting for mail account ³my hotmail account
(e-mail address removed)² were successfully determined. To view, confirm, and
complete the setup of your e-mail account please click on the right
arrow²
- I ˆ on Right arrow and the following box appears²
- Your name: (which is my 'shortened² first name & full last name.
The first name shown is not my account name nor my Personal information
name that I've been using. I don't know where it got it.)
- Password: (which I enter), then ˆ on Save password in Mac OS X
Keychain, and then ˆ on Right arrow.
- Window appears ³If you want to verify your account settings, make
sure your computer is connected to the network, and then click Verify
My Settings². (I verify Comcast is up and running. I then click on
³Verify My Settings)
- New window appears: ³Please wait, this may take a few minutesŠ

Verifying Hotmail account account ³ which is my correct account name²:

Verification Failed: ³HTTP error. Access to the resource is
forbidden.² (-18597 ) (NOTE: I could not fine in error using
the Help)
³Some of your account settings are incorrect. Click on the left arrow
and verify the items highlighted in red. To complete setup without
verifying your account settings, click the right arrow.²
(NOTE: Why would I want to go on when the Verify didn't work???? So, I
ˆ the Left arrow.)
- The previous window reappears and there is NO red, only blue
highlights. What is highlighted is ³Your name and ˆ Save password in
Mac OS X Keychain.

Any ideas of what is happening and what I can do to fix it? Thanks.

Thank you!. It worked. BUT, there is one tiny problem. In the
Toolbar/View, the Columns option is greyed out; I cannot use it.

How do I activate it? Thanks.

Are you in 3 pane view or preview pane below? Column are only available in
preview pane below. Use Custom arrangements in the middle column to further
sort in 3 pane view.

Maybe one of you who support Entourage knows how to fix this?

For years I have stashed my "Read" email in a folder of that name in
Entourage. Recently it just disappeared. I can search for and find the
email in the folder, just not the folder. I assume it just got accidentally
dragged somewhere. But where? I have manually checked my many, many other
mail folders and subfolders. No luck.

Is there a way to get Entourage to display a folder path or in some other
way tell where in its byzantine hierarchy an email is located?

There are two scripts that will find the path.

<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/script/custom_scripts.html#script4>

The link displays the script that you can copy and save and you can also
download the scripts.
