Mac Word shuts down sometimes when saving ordoing spell check in another language

J

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

Word randomly shuts down and an error message pops up. This usually happens when I'm trying to save a document (in any language) or try to do spell check when the document is set in the language Spanish.
If anyone can make sense of it, this is what the error message says:

I believe that the Spanish Speller has some issues with attempting to open a custom dictionary with many words.

You might try setting up a custom dictionary specific to each language you work in.
