Harald knows his stuff, asking the right questions...
Try Edit/GoTo/Special/Objects
Delete.
Is your sheet protected?

The button (or maybe an "object" that I named and assigned the macro to)
floats on top of cells on one of my worksheets. When I right-click on it,
nothing happens and no pop-up menu appears. I also looked at all the
commands /subcommands up top (file, edit, etc) and nothing is blackened to
help (i.e. a delete). I can not drag the button around. If I delete the
rows/columns where it floats, it just reappears in the same relative
position of the new rows/columns.

Where is the button, and what kind of button is it ? What happens when you
rightclick it ?
Best wishes Harald

I have a "button" that I created and assigned a macro to. I no longer
needed the macro or the button, so I deleted the macro but can not find ANY
way to get rid of the button. Any help?
