Hi
I am using Windows XP, Exchange 2000 and have written a Com add-in
for Word/Outlook 2000/2002(VB6).
The com add-in consists of 2 designers, one for Word and one for
Outlook. Basically the Word part of it loads at startup and creates a
custom toolbar which has one commandbarbutton on it "Send from Word".
When this button is clicked it calls a procedure that sends the
current document on a custom made email (not a custom form, the email
has to be designed at run time with embedded graphics/signatures and
other information).
Everything works absolutely perfectly, the document is attached to my
customised email and all ready to send (which if I choose to send it
also works without a hitch), the problem is that after it has run I
get the following error message in Word...
"The Macro cannot be found or has been disabled because of your macro
securtiy settings."
I have stepped through my com add-in in debug mode and the error
occurs after the very last "end sub" routine when everything is
finshed and all objects have been released, so I'm assuming it has
nothing to do with the add-in code itself? If it does I can't seem to
trap it. It's like it proceeds to try and find the macro again in
Word or something.
I then have have to click OK before I can continue. I am lost as to
why this is happening, I really hope that this is a simple little
thing that I am blind not to see, but currently I am tearing my hair
out!
My macro security for word is set to medium and under
Tools/Macros/security/trusted sources both trust add-ins and vb are
checked.
Thank you
Kristy
