Macro for referencing files in word

I'm using the line of code "vbProj.References.AddFromFile" in a macro to add
a new reference to a document. However the UNC path for the new reference is
quite long and leads to a "Run-time error '48' - Error in loading dll" when
running. Is there a way around this so that I can use this macro with a long
UNC path?
