Macro or tool to change all resource assignments

Hi,
I have a template file that has resources assigned to tasks with generalized
names such as Electrician.
When I use this template file to create the next project, I want to choose
the Electrician that will work on this project. I want to exchange all
tasks assignments to the generic Electrician resource to one of the real
electricians. (These real electricians are subcontractors and they do the
entire project - no project has multiple electricians.) All of our projects
draw from the same resource pool that has multiple electricians.

Is there a macro or tool that can make this exchange in a fast, but thorough
manner. Yes, I can do it manually, but I have to do this for about 25 trade
categories and I naturally want to speed up the process of the project
startup.

Hi,

Open the Assign Resources Dialog (Alt+F10 I think)
Select all the tasks assigned to Electrician (use a filter)
Click the Replace button in the Assign Resources Dialog
Select your replacement resource OK

Alternatively you can use Edit, Replace in the Resource Names column to do
the same thing.
