Macro to capture printer tray number

Hi All

We have a macro that prints a standard letter on two types of paper. One on
plain and other on letterhead. We are now replacing our printer and I need
to change the tray number on the macro but I have no idea what the printer
number is. Is there a macro that capture the printer tray number?

Hi we spent a lot of time implementing macros to select printer trays for our law firm application. They became quite complex and a bit hard to maintain when we deployed new printers or upgraded drivers.

We did eventually stumble upon a great little word plugin called Tray Selector at http://us.trayselector.com which wraps up all this. It allows you tocreate buttons in the ribbon bar or toolbars and configure each to print to a certain trays. It has worked well and saved us a lot of time.

It is possible to use the macro solution too but it tends to get a bit messy and you need to know the Tray Numbers.
