macro to compare dates and notify user of due date

I wold like to write a HTML macro in Microsoft FrontPage
can be used in a table on a web page that will compare a
due date with current date (Outlook?) and notify the
Quality Assurance Department of equipment requiring
calibration.

Is there another way to do this? Suggestions or
alternatives?
