I have a number of line items (coded 1-6)in a worksheet
that are entered when I invoice a client. What I would
like to do is see the revenue by business stream (coded 1-
6)at any given point in time. What is the best way to do
this?

One way:

Assuming codes in column C, Revenue in column D:

=SUMIF(C:C,6,D)

To get all codes at once, consider a Pivot Table:
