MACROBUTTON macro dropdown list

Leonard

Hello there. When I wanted to insert a MACROBUTTON field and it offered me a
dropdown list of all available macros, one or few times in the past, I wasn't
able to see the desired macro, yet when I pressed Alt+F8, the macro was among
all the other macros? Why? I tried to turn the Public Sub into a plain
Sub, but that didn't work; the desired macro still wasn't listed under the
dropdown box. Are the available macros from Normal.dot or from the opened
document on the screen? Thank you.

The macros should be those available to the document, which would include
those in normal.dot, those in the document, and those in the document
template. Also in the list are all Word commands.

Try inserting the field using any macro and then edit the field to type in
the name of the macro you want to use and try using that, instead.

Mr. Charles Kenyon, you're a genius!! You have tirelessly helped me and a
slew of other people on this forum. I chose any macro from the dropdown list
and edited its name to my desired macro name, pressed Alt+F9, double clicked
the MACROBUTTON and the macro ran just like you suspected it would. Thanks
mucho!

It's odd that my desired macro wasn't listed among the macros under the
dropdown box, but it's a document macro for sure since it was listed when I
pressed Alt+F8. Very odd indeed.
