Macros and dedicated functions

Ben Seabourne

Some time ago I was given a folder with some files that added in some
functions to visio to allow creation of control panel wiring diagrams.

A folder called solutions, with a subfolder of stencils and some .INI files
and some visio templates was supplied.
Adding this folder (called 'solutions') into the C:\program files\visio
folder caused an extra menu item to appear in the drop down menus, and meant
that certain stencils (included in the subfolder) had extra attributes, IE
when double clicked a data entry box would open, which wouldd then insert
pump loads or other information into the diagram.
The extra menu item had a number of functions on it, which were specific to
control panel wiring and performed functions like counting the numbers of
'item A's' etc.
At some point this function has stopped working, the menu item has vanished
and double clicking the stencils no longer brings up the text boxes.
What mechanism allows extra menus to be generated? Is there a specifc file
type, or some setting that controls this? Is there a menu option or some
advanced setting i'm not seeing? Could a revised system security policy have
caused something to stop working?
I'm running visio 2003, on windows XP. Please help.

It''s all there, i''m just not looking hard enough.

This functionality has moved to the "My Documents\My Shapes" folder.
