VBA is installed by default in Office 2000 - I don't think it can be disabled
at all. It can be disabled in 2003 but isn't by default.

That's about all you need to get started.

The process of writing macros is a bit different for each application.
Mention what program you're working in and what you want to do.

You may also want to post to the specific newsgroup for the app you're
interested in.
