I apologize if this is going to the wrong area. I
transferred my office 2k folder to a new computer and I
try to bring up my macros and get a "read only" message.
I enabled the use of them, but I'm still getting errors.

Do you mean the files are opened readonly?

If yes, then if you used a CDROM to transfer your workbooks, maybe the ReadOnly
attribute is still set for Readonly.

Inside windows explorer, right click on the filename and choose properties.
Is Readonly checked?

If you meant that macros were disabled, how did you enable them?
did you open excel, tools|macro|security|security level tab
and change it to Low (or medium and answer the prompt to allow macros when you
opened the workbook?)
