MagicJack Problem (I suspect)

I impulsively downloaded an Outlook add-in which is supposed to add a button
in each Contact Record that is a way to quick call the Contact on the phone
(that's plugged into the MagicJack device). I knew better, but I did it
anyway!

Well, after installing the add-in, (1) the button never showed up in a
Contact Record, but more importantly, (2) When I highlight an email it
doesn't show on the right hand side where it usually shows the contents of
the email -- it just stays blank. If I double click on the email it opens
the email up in a new Window, and (3) When I close Outlook, it's still
showing in the Task Manager as open.

I can't even figure out how to uninstall the MagicJack Add-In for Outlook.

Of course, I don't KNOW that MagicJack is the problem but this problem arose
immediately after installing the add-in. Thanks!

I D/L'ed the addon, too. Using Outlook 2003, it just didn't work, so I
uninstalled it. If I remember correctly, it was listed in the 'Add/Remove'
Programs and it didn't leave any residual problems. I started with MagicJack
back in early January and it was really Beta-ish. That being said, over time
it has improved greatly. I haven't tried the addin again, though.

Thanks for the response. I couldn't find any MagicJack app installed on my
system.

I did an Outlook 2007 diagnostic but it didn't find anything either.

Thanks again. Maybe it's not even MJ that is the problem.

Somewhere in the configuration for Outlook 2007 (I'm still using OL2002)
should be a list of the add-ons installed for Outlook. If MJ is listed,
disable it and restart Outlook to see if the problem goes away. If that
doesn't work, disable all add-ons by starting Outlook in its safe mode
("outlook.exe /safe") and retest.
