Mail appears deleted from inbox.

I have one user out of about 500 whose email just appears to be deleting, we
are in a single Exchange 2003 server environment and the user has Office 2003
.. This was brought to my attention yesterday morning and when I looked at
his inbox he only had emails from Friday morning, Thursday afternoon/night,
and then everything earlier then May 8th 2007. His total inbox size was
300MB. He told me this had been happening all week where he has about 24
hours of email then a huge void in dates.

Here are the following things I have done to resolve:

1. Logged into our webmail to ensure it was not just his outlook views, but
I saw same thing in webmail as in outlook.
2. Attached the profile to my own outlook, but still same thing.
3. Ran detect and repair on his outlook.
4. Unchecked "Cached Exchange Mode" to ensure all mail comes from Exchange
server.
5. Deleted and recreated the users Outlook profile
6. Cleared all filters
7. Started Outlook using the /cleanviews switch
8. User has only one .pst file, but only emails from deleted items and sent
items are in the archive.pst
9. Auto archive is turned on, runs every 14 days and only checks mail older
than 6 months, and "permenantly delete email" is NOT checked.
10. Ran Advanced Find for entire mailbox for the dates missing and nothing
was returned
11. Virus scan (Trend) came back clean.
12. Adaware, Spybot and Hijack this came back with no red flags

When I left yesterday at 4pm the mail that had been there all day was there.
Last night I checked his mail around 8pm and all mail from the day had been
deleted as well as the previous day. He now only had 5 emails from 10/19
all after 5:15pm and all mail older than November 2006. So all mail from May
8th 2007 to December 2006 was now deleted. I checked his mailbox size at
this time and it was now only 177MB in size.

This morning when I logged in all current email was gone with the exception
of one email from 6am today then everything from October 2006 and earlier.
Mailbox size now at 169MB.

We run full backups everynight of the mailbox stores so getting back is not
the issue.

Has anyone seen anything like this before or have any suggestions to stop
this from happening. I have been managing servers/desktops for over 8 years
and have never seen anything like this. Any help would greatly be
appreciated, I'm at a loss.

Jim
