mail marked as "replied to" in Inbox

A mail I have "replied to" does not exhibit the purple left arrow on the
envelope on the mail item in the Inbox. I can not find were to turn this
feature on. CAn anyone assist?

What type of account? What version of Outlook? WHat DOES show?
