Mail Merge can't find Outlook Address book

I am trying to use Mail Merge in Word and/or Outlook and when trying to
access recepients from my Outlook folders, I get an error and am told that
the "MAPI folder or address book is not found". I am using Vista.

What version of Word? Is it the same version as Outlook?

Are you attached to the exchange server? Are you in cached exchange?
Working offline? Do you have an Outlook Address Book added to your profile?
I know, lot's of questions.
