Mail Merge from public folders

when performing a merge in MS word & using a public folder in Outlook 2002 - using exchange server on SBS 2000 we get message saying dialogue or database engine error - try again later - there is no problem with specific user contact lists only the public lists If we start in outlook and merge from outlook it works ok but we really neeed to start the merge in MS word

Any suggestions

You must start a public folder mail merge from Outlook, not Word.

What if you want to merge with a distribution list from a public folder
(I'm getting a warning when I try) ?

Mail merge doesn't work with distribution lists in Office. Some third-party
products support it, though. See
