Mail merge in Tools menu - Word 2000

Every time I use envelopes or labels another Mail Merge
item appears in the Tools drop-down menu. So far the only
way to remove them is to reinstall Word and then it starts
happening again.
Has anyone had this problem? How do you get rid of it?

Go to the Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs tab and uninstall the Works
Add-in.

You can get rid of the excess menu item by using Ctrl+Alt+- and clicking on
the unwanted items. BE VERY CAREFUL doing this: when you click C+A+- the
cursor changes to a thick black horizontal bar. The next item you click will
be deleted!

And if there are many extra Mail Merge commands, it's more efficient to open
Tools | Customize and drag them off without having to press a shortcut key.
