mail merge menu

I have Office 2000 installed on a Windows 98 computer.
When I open the tools menu instead of one line for Mail
Merge there are dozens. Mail Merge
Mail Merge
Mail Merge
Mail Merge
et cetera
I must scroll thru them all before getting to any other
menu items. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the
program and I still get the same result.

Any help will be graetly appreciated.

Go to the Control Panel and uninstall the Work Add-in.

Go to Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the Microsoft Works
Suite Add-in for Word. Then restart Word and open Tools | Customize. Drag
all but one of the Mail Merge commands off the menu.
