Mail merge on cover alternates

R

Robin Chapple

I use Publisher to produce a board cover for a members directory where
internal pages are printed elsewhere.

It is set up as a booklet to print two pages per sheet.

I mail merge the member name on the front cover.

When printed entries 1 and 2 are on sheet one with the front cover at
right of sheet and rear cover at left of sheet. Just as expected.

Entries 3 and 4 are on sheet two with the front cover at left of sheet
and rear cover at right of sheet. Useless.

This alternating pattern continues to the end of the mail merge.

How do I tackle this problem? Is it the printer software? The printer
is a Canon Laser LBP 3000

Thanks,

Robin Chapple

That's because Publisher adds them as the next two pages in the booklet
layout.

You could:
a) Lay out your page manually
b) Insert two blank pages (giving you a total of four) into your
template document
c) Change your layout from booklet to a custom page size (at the current
page size - probably 8.5x5.5 or A5), and set the multiple pages per
sheet to 2.
