I have a problem with a currency mergefield when I complete a merge between Access 2002 and Word 2002. In the Access Database, the merge field in question is set to Currency, with two decimal places. However, when it is merged to Word, we loose the dollar sign and decimal places. We have went into the design of the database, and our field are set to currency, two places, but still no luck.
I thought that it was a problem in bringing in the database. I attempted to recreate the problem on another computer, and when get open the datasource (during the merge) I get a list of possible Access database types to choose from. As long as I choose the Access DDE database, it works like a charm. However, when I try to go back to the original computer, I skip that step altogether. I guess an association between merge letters and this database is there.
Can anyone help me with breaking the association, so I could at least try to bring in an Access DDE database, or help with me with entering switches into the mergefield in Word to get it to print correctly?
Thanks!
