mail merge trouble

I am trying to use mail merge to send out a newsletter via email to my
customers. I have used a template I downloaded from Microsoft, but I am only
able to use one page in an e-mail merge; otherwise, I lose the formatting
from the template and it goes into straight print. How can I make my email
merge accept multiple pages???
