Mail merge using Macros

Is there any way to do a mail merge using just a Macro. I don't know code
well enough to do it that way. I am trying to merge from a query. I have
tried to do it using transfertext, however, I keep getting an error message
that says, " Either the database or the document is read-only", which I am
quite sure they are not.
