mail merge using remote database as data source

I have a MS Word 2K mail merge document that currently uses a local MS
Access database as the data source.

I now need to use a remote database (MySQL) as the data source. I have a
ODBC connection to the remote database.

What's the trick to getting this to work?

Can someone point me to a how-to or tutorial to accomplish this?

you should be able to do this easily from within Word. Just select the
database and it should do the rest for you.

You're right. I've been playing around with Word's MS Query tool and it
looks promising.
