Hello All,

I have a EVP with MAC air book running 10.5 and updated entourage 2008 client.

Last night she stopped receiving emails from the exchange server. Her client looked fine and was still updating and sending email for her.

She log into outlook web access and I checked an outlook email client on another PC .. and she had new mail on them both but not on entourage.

She has about 16K docs in her in box and around a 5.6GB mail file ... I assume it lost synch between the exchange server some how ..

I am a new very new to the mac world - any thoughts

Try control-clicking (equivalently, right-clicking if you have a two-button
mouse) on the Exchange Inbox and selecting Empty Cache from the pop-up menu.

Yes this what I have done ... and its rebuilding the cache .. all 16K docs in the inbox.

I have noticed that I need to stop and start entourage sometimes to get the synch going again.

Thanks for your response

Keeping 16,000 documents in your inbox is generally not considered a good
way to manage your mail.

I move my documents to other folders based on their source or subject
matter. E.g., I have folders for friends, family, finance, travel, etc.

I believe that Entourage will encounter fewer errors with a smaller Inbox --
and it will delete the cache and reload the Inbox a lot faster if you do
have to reload it.
