Mail notification to Exchange

Hi,

I`m starting using Project Server but I'm having trouble
setting up mail notification.

Our company uses MS Exchange for mail, but I can't seem to
find a way to integrate the mail notification with the
exchange server.

I tried to setup a simple SMTP server only to send the
notification mails but this simplistic attempt doesn't
work (I am not familiar with the concepts involving in e-
mail and therefore I am trying pretty much anything).

If someone has any idea how to setup this it would be very
welcome.
