All of the user's Outlook data is stored in a file with a .PST extension.
Look here for all the information you need on backup and restoration of
Outlook data:

http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm

Note that .PST files are usually found in hidden folders under Windows 2000,
so make sure you include hidden folders in your search parameters.

Hi
Jocelyn
Thanks for your reply and valuable suggestion.
I searched the Roaming profile folder for .pst file but
could not find any such file,Doesn't the roaming profile
stores the .pst file??

Thanks

It should...are you sure you looked in hidden folders as well as visible
folders? You can look in system folders too, though it's unlikely the .PST
would be in one.

I have the following folders under <username> folder on
the File server where all roaming profiles are stored for
all users

Application Data(hidden)
Desktop
Favorites
SecurityScans
Start Menu
WINDOWS
(SOme other hidden folders)

-------------------------------

Application Data-->Microsoft-->Outlook this folder
consists of the following files

Microsoft Outlook Internet Settings.FAV
Microsoft Outlook Internet Settings.NICK
outcmd.dat
OutlPrnt
VIEWS.DAT

I do found .pst files on local machines profile, But I
could not find the .pst file in the roaming profile folder
on the server

I suspect roaming profile will not copy the .pst file from
the local settings of each user

any more further suggestions??

Thanks
Sai

If you found .PST files on the local machine, could they possibly be that
user's missing files? .PST files can actually be located anywhere on the
hard drive, especially if the user moved the files himself or created a new
file in a different location. You can open each file in Outlook using File
| Open | Personal Folders File, and see what it contains -- if it's not the
right file, you can close it again by right clicking the root folder in the
Folder List and selecting Close.
